More tasmania

Man, I love caves. These are some more caves in Tasmania, Hastings Caves. Very beautiful.

How often does this happen?

Second biggest tree in the world, was absolutely amazing. Cannot believe they are logging this valley. Trees as huge as these are being logged.

Stalactites in the caves. Quite grand when standing underneath!

Standing underneath the giant curtain within the cave. I think he said it was 4 tonnes of rock. Amazing!

We went through these forests at the right time because there was so much fungi growing everywhere and off everything. There were so many varying colours and shapes it was fantastic. These were absolutely minescule and we only found them in one section of our walk in the Russell Falls reserve. Growing in a patch over strands of bark.

Half of Horseshoe Falls. Managed to climb up the side of this and walk up the river a little. Not as large as Russell Falls which I think was about 40m tall. Huge but obstructed by many trees. Not bothered, would prefer the trees be there than have a clearer view of water falling. It was amazing that some of the trees managed to cling onto the rocks and shelves of Russell Falls for so long. There were some big old trees in there! Horseshoe Falls was just so cutesy.

Weirdest fungus I've seen in awhile. Just looked like a peculiar tongue protruding from the mossy log.
