Silpression

This stuff is such good fun to play with!
Get equal parts from both jars (approximately) and mix together. It's like a putty so you just moosh it together with your fingers. You have about 5 minutes to work with it before it sets. Keep playing with it until it is all one colour, which doesn't take long. Then push and mold it onto the object or surface you wish to have a mold of. Once you have covered it completely and you're happy where there Silpression is placed, leave to set. It should only take a few minutes. Then just peel it off!!
Then you have a rubbery mold, such as these three below, which lasts for many, many casts. It gets so much detail as well. The three molds below are from some coral, an etching on a shell and a section of the outside of a giant clam shell respectively.
This is a wax cast of the coral mold. I think I like the mold better than the cast! The mold of the coral has such a beautiful texture.

Above is a cast of the clam shell mold. I want to use a blue wax in this mold as it will work better, I believe. This wax was the only wax I had around the house and was from a scented candle. Just trying out the molds really. I want to get this cast in Sterling Silver, I think it'll make a great pendant for a necklace. Just may be a little expensive due to it's size. May have to carve a whole lot out of the inside to make it thinner and lighter. The edge curves around and looks really quite beautiful.

This section broke off on one of the first casts. It's the edge of the clam shell, as you can see above. I quite liked it just as it is so I may get this cast as well.
